STITCHES AND STORIES AND ANOTHER COLLECTION!
I love old samplers, embroidery and textiles. Some stitches tell stories, some are funny and some are sad. They are little pieces of history and art.
Another collection!
ZANIES AT THE COTTAGE.
It doesn’t take much to make me smile. I love most things whimsical, quirky, zany or silly. There is no accounting for taste, perhaps I have none, but I know that I like these silly things that live with me!
Vintage Madonnas and Abby and Peter, Flowers and Thank yous.
My daughter Abby is very creative and has a wonderful collection of Madonnas (along with many other cool things) displayed in her Brooklyn apartment. Took these photos while visiting and was inspired to display on my blog. Thanks for sharing with your mum, sweet Abby! Not only your creativity, but your energy and wit..It was a weekend I will always remember. xox
TORQUAY MOTTOWARE “If You can’t fly, climb”
I started collecting this whimsical pottery while living in England. It was manufactured during the late 1800’s to 1930’s in Torquay, England. This pottery was originally sold as souvenirs and the mottos or quotes etched in clay are charming and thoughtful. There are cups, teapots, egg cups, plates, many little pieces that are charming and always bring a smile to your face.
HODGE PODGE MOMENTOS
Ok, I admit it, I love stuff…so I am sharing some more of my collected treasures.
